Job Description

We have 3 posts available.Applications are invited to join our enthusiastic and innovative team at North Sector Theatre Recovery based initially at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI). We are seeking individuals who strive to deliver patient centred care competently with an emphasis on service delivery. Successful candidate will be offered a supported induction period and the opportunity to develop learning pathways such as relevant Degree/Master modules. It is also essential you have evidence of continual development, good IT skills, good communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a complex care environment.We are particularly interested to receive applications from those experienced in post-operative care, intensive care or who have a surgical background. There is an expectation to rotate within all theatre recovery areas across both GRI and Stobhill ACH, participate in a 24/7 coverage rota and engage in cross site working within the North Sector. As a key member in this fast paced area you will require a “can do” approach.The Theatre Recovery Department provides pre and post anaesthetic/surgical care for planned patients who undergo Day Case procedures and surgery in specialisms such as Orthopaedics, General, Gynaecology, Plastics and Urology. The department also provide support to the SHDU and ITU departments.
