Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and ClydeDepartment of Clinical Physics and Bio-EngineeringNuclear Medicine (NW Sector)Practitioner Clinical Technologist/RadiographerBand 5We are looking for an individual with a background in medical technology or physics to work as part of a team delivering regional Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging service. The work, which is patient focussed, includes routine performance and quality control of diagnostic nuclear medicine studies; processing and management of acquired data; acting as an operator under IRMER and patient cannulation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.Applicants should have a degree in Medical Technology, a degree in Physical Science or a DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiology (or other appropriate discipline) or equivalent. (HNC /ONC with suitable experience will be considered). Registration on the Register for Clinical Technologists (RCT) is desirable. (If not the post-holder will follow a training plan and is expected to achieve the award of DipIPEM (T) within the 2 years.).
