Job Description

As a Barclays Portfolio Reporting Risk Business Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for credit risk reporting to external Regulators and Senior Management. You will be joining at an exciting time, supporting a project to move to one strategicdata source and migrating to a new platform. Analysing new data feeds, providing logic, end to end testing and impact analysis will be key components, giving opportunity and exposure to regulatory project work, advanced models, and systems. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager. What will you be doing Reviewing existing technical Report Requirements and Processes to identify relevant gaps and develop them as required in their future state in JUNO via SQL Server Studio Reviewing existing tables and feeds in current reporting systems and enriching them as required with the relevant SME guidance Developing automated solutions via Business Objects or other tools, while developing the reporting requirements in their future state Being part of the discussion with SMEs to help identify relevant technical report requirements, needs, challenges and provide development solutions Providing on-going support during the migration period, review progress to date, UAT testing and giving feedback to help us shape the best possible development solutions Providing system and database expertise to help the team understand the technical requirements and the development needs Providing Technical SME assistance for the RIS Portfolio Reporting team if needed Driving and owning the investigation and resolution of operational and technical challenges What were looking for: SQL, Teradata, ideally Python, Business Objects, VBA and Microsoft Office skills in a Risk environment Demonstrable experience in developing IT solutions and/ or improvements for Credit Risk or Finance Reporting and Analysis Analytical background, data driven with a results and commercial focus Ability to understand and identify breakdowns in processes, reporting requirements and control framework Skills that will help you in the role: Good knowledge of data infrastructure and credit risk concepts Good communication skills and ability to translate technical information in a simple and meaningful manner Experience dealing with senior stakeholders and management at various levels Capable of detecting inefficiencies and data issues and drive forward change initiatives in an independent manner Where will you be working Our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
