Job Description

PMO Glasgow About the Role/Team The Cross-ISG Programs Group is responsible for large technology & process change initiatives including MiFID II, Brexit and LIBOR Transition and is recruiting for an enthusiastic and delivery focused project manager to join its EMEA team with a primary focuson Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) as well as supporting the global XPG CoO team with resourcing administration and financial alignment. The successful candidate will partner with numerous technology departments to define and manage system impact and delivery plans front to back from requirements definition through technical development, front to back testing, deployment and prod beta verification.Candidates will need to be comfortable working in a matrix style, as part of a relatively small central team, collaborating with technology SMEs and project managers embedded in different technology departments and business units. Job Responsibilities

  • Be a clearing house for emerging issues and requirements and manage them to resolution. Track status and progress and ensure smooth delivery into a front to back test environment.
  • Participate in and lead Agile ceremonies for the project team. Maintain Agile artefacts such as sprint boards, story maps and portfolio plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partners in Technology and the various business units.
  • Produce technical plans and specifications with associated assumptions, dependencies, risks & issues.
  • Partner with technology SMEs to define technical design and architecture for a particular ecosystem.
  • Produce reports, documentation, and communication artefacts for working groups, steering committees and project leads.
  • Ability to manage financial and resourcing data sets and liaison with key business stakeholders to provide accurate department planning information.
  • Provide support to XPG Project Managers, Project Leads and other Senior Officers for matters relating to project and resourcing administration to support operational budget and financials.
  • Support standardization and consistency in projects, risk management processes and procedures, and ensure adherence to company tools and applications.
Skills
  • Bachelors or Masters degree and Professional experience, preferably at financial institution.
  • Excellent track record of application product development and delivery of complex global projects in Financial services domain.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of computer applications via established software development lifecycle models like Agile.
  • Experience of project planning, delivery management and program management.
  • Experience in creating high quality written products from financial and resourcing data that is comprehensive, accurate, and tailored to the audience.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities.
  • MS-Project, MS Excel, and general MS-Office skills essential.
  • Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects, able to work with the global team, and manage time and tasks effectively and independently.
  • Strong communication & networking skills.
  • Project leadership; bringing different teams together to execute on a plan towards a common goal.
  • Experienced user of tools such as Excel, Power BI, Visio, JIRA, JIVE, TWiki, Microsoft Project and Sharepoint.
