Base Location: Perth or GlasgowSalary: £28,000 - £42,000 depending on skills and experienceWorking Pattern: Permanent | Full Time 37 hours per weekAbout the DepartmentTransmission operates under licence as Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc, responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own and maintain the 132kV, 275kV and 400kV electricity transmission network in our licence area. Our network comprises of underground cables, overhead wooden poles, steel towers and electricity substations, and it extends over a quarter of the UK land mass across some of its most challenging terrain.What is the RoleIt is an exciting time to join SHE Transmission which has recently published its draft Business Plan outlining its ambitious plans for the next price control period (RIIO-T2), including proposals which would see expenditure of over £2bn over the five-year period.A Performance Business Analyst is required to join our team in Transmission within the Networks division of SSE. The role will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and delivering processes to ensure compliance with Ofgem commitments and Licence Obligations.Youll work with a broad cross-section of stakeholders, both internal and external to the business, focusing on the collation, understanding and communication of transmission business performance against objectives set out in the RIIO-T1 business plan. A key part of this role involves developing an understanding of all business and regulatory obligations and compliance/assurance activities associated with the transmission business.This is a wide spanning role and will give you a unique opportunity to learn about our business, and the projects we look after on a day to day basis.What do I needTo ensure you get the most from your role, we ask that you have demonstrable experience within a similar role, perhaps within a research, insight or business analysis setting in a corporate environment. Youll have experience working with multiple stakeholders and have strong commercial awareness. In addition, youll have the ability to operate out with your field of expertise, engaging with technical, financial and engineering specialists, to gather relevant information.
