Job Description

  • Play a lead role in driving our Virgin Money HR Data Strategy - working collaboratively to shape our future data architecture and drive our transformation as a data driven People function.
  • The position is both strategic and hands-on; the role holder must be experienced in data analysis, be able to understand business requirements and processes, and develop systems to deliver those improvements to stakeholders.
Heres what youll be doing..
  • Facilitating Virgin Moneys digital ambitions around People data, enabling HR and the Bank to become truly data centric
  • Leading on the continued journey away from operational reporting, to key analysis, and the creation of data stories and real-time insights, through the development of a colleague data lake and PowerBI dashboards
  • Establishing and leading a Data Forum with a range of HR representatives to co-ordinate and enable regular MI from across the function
  • Gathering stakeholder requirements, primarily from Virgin Moneys leadership team, to provide data insights which support strategic data driven decision making
  • Building and maintaining positive and effective stakeholder relationships across the business, engaging them on our strategic data transformation journey
  • Collaborating with teams across the business in developing and adopting new technology and tools to enable e.g. predictive analytical models, and sentiment analytics
  • Being an SME on colleague data, and coaching Insights Analysts in their adoption of new analytical tools, and empowering their digital disruption
  • Continuous improvement in the delivery of key MI, identifying opportunities for automation, self-service, system optimisation and enhanced efficiency wherever possible
  • Ongoing research into best practise and the use of external benchmarking to inform KPIs
  • Responsible for leading on data governance and information security activities from a colleague data perspective, managing relationships with data governance and data protection teams, ensuring compliance with GDPR, eg, being an SME on record retention,records of processing, and the concept of privacy by design, and being an ambassador for the security and fair processing of all colleague data.
To be brilliant you must have..
  • Significant experience of data analytics and data modelling
  • Demonstrable experience of the continuous improvement of data analysis and the creation of engaging strategic insights
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI/Tableau
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR, data privacy laws and regulations
The icing on the cake would be..
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • A knowledge and practical understanding of Agile project management
