Job Description

Payroll Advisor - upto £40k - Renfrew - Temporary 6 Months I am currently partnered with a global manufacturing and engineering business to appoint a Payroll Advisor on a 6 month FTC due to growth in the team.Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of both the weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Processing new starters and leavers
  • Assist with statutory allowances SMP, OSPP, SSP and SAP
  • Process employee changes to standing data eg bank details, P45, wage arrestment etc
  • Issue P45s to leavers
  • Administration and payment of pension and health care schemes ensuring deductions are recorded and paid on time
  • Active team member in any new initiatives and systems development
  • Highlight to manager on a regular basis of any areas of concern
Requirements
  • Ensuring compliance to all payroll policies and procedures with clear transaction visibility and audit trail
  • Ensure that payments are supportable through internal audit and control, highlighting to manager any areas of concern regarding non-compliance
  • Ensure that monthly payments of Tax & NI and pensions are paid on time to HMRC and the Pension provider and that any back-up is supplied by the most efficient method
