Job Description

Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator who is looking for a new challenge in a growing, organisation who offer fantastic and a salary up to £26500 depending on experienceThe company offer excellent benefits including:Hybrid working34 days holidaysyou can also buy an extra weekDiscretionary Free rail travelPension schemePrivate medical insuranceMedical cash plan24 hour employee assistance programmeYou will report directly to the Payroll Team Leader and who will have responsibility for accurately inputting the company payroll related data into the Payroll system.Main responsibilities include;

  • Responsible for accurately inputting all Companys Payroll related data into the Payroll system according to a strict timetable.
  • Deal with varying pay enquiries from staff within all parts of the organisation.
  • Inputting high volume of data to the payroll system including overtime, expenses, commissions ensuring correct and timely processing of 4 weekly payroll.
  • Maintaining sickness/maternity and other absence payments whilst maintaining and monitoring records as necessary, keeping up to date in legislation to ensure the payroll is compliant with statutory changes.
  • Dealing with pension queries.
  • Responding to pay queries from both employees and 3rd parties by telephone and in writing.
  • Performing routine checks on payroll output.
  • Accurately maintaining all employee records.
Experience required;
  • Be a proactive team player
  • Be able to work under pressure against tight deadlines
  • A proven track record in a payroll post in a large, complex organisation
  • A detailed knowledge of payroll systems, taxation and national insurance rules
  • Experience of using spreadsheets at an intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both internally and externally to the business
