Job Description

Ref: AK-13847 Role: Operations Team Lead (Energy / Water) Location: Remote - Occasional paid visits to Glasgow Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE+ commission + 32 holsSummary:Are you a good all-rounder with experience within the energy or water industry If so, we are working with a leading energy consultancy who are expanding their team and looking for an Operations Team Lead. This is a varied role, encompassing managing a portfolio of key clients, acting as their energy and water specialist, but will also require you to manage a team and conduct some business development activity. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years Energy and Water experience, ideally with a good understanding of carbon reduction, flexible purchasing, and risk management strategies.   • Manage the workload of consultants and service advisors
  • Responsible for the continual improvement of delivered services
  • Hold responsibility for the renewal of existing SLA arrangements with client base
  • Be the relationship conduit between the company and their clients
  • Fully responsible for a portfolio of key clients - act as their energy and water specialist
  • Cross selling / upselling of services to existing clients and networking to generate leads
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients with the sales and delivery team
  • Provide management information, including performance and KPI reporting for the team
  • Lead internal and external stakeholder meetings as required
  • Mentor and develop direct reports
Skills and experience required:
  • A minimum of 5 years working in the UK energy and water industry
  • Team management experience in a fast-moving environment
  • An understanding of flexible purchasing/energy basket/risk management strategies
  • Some experience of business development capability would be useful
  • Understanding of carbon reporting & compliance schemes such as SECR
  • Excellent presentation skills with strong proposal writing skills
  • Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite, notably specialist in Microsoft Excel
