Job Description

We are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for a world-renowned brand that is currently seeking to appoint a new Operations Lead (Networks) & Operations Lead (Infrastructure). The positions will work closely together and play key roles within this organisation being directly accountable for leading the network technology function or infrastructure operations function. Within these positions, you will identify opportunities for improvement and change to ensure a consistent and stable service is delivered across the organisation.Within this role you will; facilitate, plan and enable the move to cloud technologies by introducing, implementing, operating best practice and evolving ways of working to take advantage of the improved technologies; Lead and grow the capabilities of theteam by proactively sharing knowledge with the team members ensuring documenting procedures and solutions are carried out; Support and drive the teams to build, operate and assure best in class reliability, capacity and security across existing technologies;Act as a single point of contact for networks or infrastructure services providing technical expertise and support to peers, business units and 3 rd parties within agreed service levels and escalating to other teams as appropriate; Proactively identify businesstechnology gaps and look to exploit opportunities through the adoption of new practices and technologies; Partner with the internal Information Security function to ensure corporate networking services and infrastructure aligns to security standards and respondsto new threats as appropriate; Manage third party network service providers ensuring that agreed service levels are met providing escalation to commercial teams as appropriate; Manage partners and driving initiatives to review and recommend initiatives toimprove service and secure savings; Collaborate with and influence technology peers to own the overall solution design and implementation of our roadmap and vision; Collaborate with IT peers to Design & Build a 24/7 network function, integrated with the ITService Desk, which appropriately supports our business outcomes; Suggest/contribute to ways of improving existing tasks and processes using current technology to support a culture of continuous improvement.Essential for Operations Lead, Networks role:

  • Proven team leader who can set objectives, drive operational excellence, performance manage a team, and develop individuals to achieve their potential
  • Extensive experience managing the delivery and support of network services and telecoms in a global multi-site environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Networking (CCIE Ent Infra / CCNP) & Security Technologies
  • VCP-NV (beneficial)
  • Cloud Certification - Azure AWS (Advanced or Architecture) (beneficial)
  • CISSP CCSP (beneficial)
  • ITIL certified (beneficial)
Essential for Operations Lead, Infrastructure role:
  • Proven team leader who can set objectives, drive operational excellence, performance manage a team, and develop individuals to achieve their potential
  • Extensive experience managing the delivery and support of server, storage in a global datacentre and cloud environment
  • Extensive knowledge of technical infrastructure support and design within a global organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, SAN, Cloud (Azure), Security Technologies, Data storage, and backups
  • Cloud Certification (MCSD) (beneficial)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) (beneficial)
  • HP Accredited (AIS) (beneficial)
  • CompTIA Server+ (beneficial)
  • ITIL Foundation (beneficial)
  • CCNA (beneficial)
  • COBIT5 (beneficial)
