Job Description

Would you like the opportunity to work for the UKs leading integrated wealth management and professional services groupMy client is looking for a driven and passionate indivdual to join their Corporate Actions Funcation on a permanent basis in their Glasgow office.What will you be doingWere seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Actions Functions in Glasgow, which is responsible for ensuring all events are processed accurately within the market deadlines. This process includes event notification, broadcasting, collation andinput of client elections, updating client portfolios with any outturn and completion of reconciliations.As Operations Assistant, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing stock notifications and issuing relevant event information to Front Office
  • Collation and processing of client elections within market deadlines
  • Processing outturns of stock and cash to client portfolios ensuring CGT is considered
  • Investigation and resolution of stock and cash breaks
  • Assist team with the completion of statistics and daily tasks associated with Corporate Action functions and requirements, including regular liaison with Investment Front Office for remediation and query resolution
  • Assist with the bi-annual review of liquidations for tax pack purposes
To be successful in this role, you should:
  • Settlement operations experience gained within a financial institution, advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrable interest in financial services and in particular investment management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel
  • Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner
