Job Description

Location: Across ScotlandCare to join us Then come reach your full potential at Quarriers.Do you have a passion for people, a Diploma in Social Work/or relevant qualification or management experienceWe are currently recruiting for Operational Managers for our Children, Families and Young People Services.Quarriers have Investors in People Platinum accreditation and are one of only two social care organisations in Scotland to have this prestigious award.As an Operational Manager, your role is to support and develop existing Quarriers Services for Children, Families and Young People, whilst maintaining standards to commissioning and regulatory body requirements as well as continually driving improvements. You will also contribute to, and generate new service development in line with organisational and strategic growth plans.You will have a diverse range of services within your portfolio and will be part of a very experienced and fun team. Our Operational Managers support each individual service to excel in their area of expertise whilst ensuringall their needs are met, as well as achieving the best outcomes for all who require their support.A car allowance will be payable as travelling is required for this role.The successful candidate has a number of key objectives and accountabilities including:

  • Leadership and management responsibility for a range of services which comply with a range of statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Lead and manage effective performance management and internal quality assurance systems.
  • Ensure all financial transactions for services are effectively managed and reported in respect of Quarriers financial procedures
  • Contribute to the development, monitoring and delivery of the service business plan focusing on key objectives within the organisations operational plan.
  • Contribute to organisational grant applications.
  • Lead and advise Project Managers on the operational running of their services and development of best practice models to ensure the people we support are at the centre of service planning and achieve their personal outcomes.
  • Ensure external expectations are known, understood and complied with
  • To attain the highest possible recognition from regulatory bodies
  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of the Staff and those accessing the services.
  • Contribute to service development and organisational tender submissions in order to achieve organic/incremental and new service growth.
  • You are required to participate in the out of hours on call system when required
