You will be responsible for the overall operational management of the West of Scotland Haemophilia & Thrombosis Centre. You will provide expert analysis and resource, managing and developing the West of Scotland Haemophilia Centre Information system providing complex, sensitive and confidential information to National Services Division, National Procurement and Divisional Management ensuring continuing adherence to and provision of West of Scotland “Recombinant and Commercial Concentrates for Haemostasis Disorders”, total value > £8 million.Manage National Services Division Contract No PHP036 ‘Home Delivery of Clotting Factors’. This is delivery of high cost treatment to haemophilia patients in their home setting. Value of contract >£6 million. There are only 2 Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centres in Scotland the other being the East of Scotland Haemophilia Centre in Edinburgh. This post requires a relevant business Diploma or Degree in Business Management with significant experience within haemophilia or a similar regional service discipline. This should include a highly developed specialist expert knowledge across a range of disciplines, work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge or relevant practical experience gained through further training, study and chartership with professional organisations.You should have expert clinical domain knowledge: across many highly complex areas (inhibitors, genetics, factor levels, products, diagnoses, infectivity risks etc) in relation to issues such as national vCJD surveillance, national and local haemophilia guidelines, analysis and review of the national haemophilia service, national procurement of product, haemophilia working parties and networks etc.Information Technology: Specialist experience and knowledge of the latest software development and relational database technologies in order to construct and administer information in keeping with national information systems.
