Job Description

Pertemps are delighted to be sourcing for a new, exciting Operational Analyst position role for a growing client based outside Glasgow. Duties will include:Working as part of a small team, this role supports the Management team in the effective delivery of the onshore and offshore payroll service via bespoke systems. This role will be primarily responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of dataand compilation of reports for the management team, identifying trends and guide business improvement initiatives. This role will provide customer reporting using SQL and will support System Administration workflows.The role will take the lead from a support perspective within the team in the assessment and analysis of any product changes / upgrades prior to the roll out, to ensure the service to the external client is not impacted and excellent service is maintained.
  • Supporting the Operations team liaising closely to ensure that M.I, variances, anomalies, trends are proactively identified & fully understood and analysed
  • Reviewing sources of information to ensure the data used in reporting is appropriate and accurate.
  • Supporting with the implementation of technology upgrades. (Provide appropriate training and update documentation for internal colleagues and alerts to customer).
  • Support System outages to ensure an understanding of impact (internal and client)
  • Escalating situations that require attention through the right channels in a timely manner
  • Manage the progress of continuous improvements and provide support to deliver on CI projects
  • Statistical Analysis & reportingOperational KPI & SLA Requirements
  • Through analysis of data, you will identify any service level or performance considerations that could impact on costs or customer experience.
  • You will be responsible for the delivery to the business of timely and accurate management information
  • Change management: Providing risk assessment for implementation of change via customer and internal Change requests
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting using SQL scripts for client and internal requests
  • Fostering working relationships within and across departments to identify the most appropriate sources of information and to constantly monitor the integrity of this information
  • Understanding service level impacts, identify issues & feed back to the operational teams & support in driving solutions
Experience required;
  • Experience of SQL and working with relational database
  • Demonstrable experience of producing quality MI for internal use
  • Systems literate
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of curiosity and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to deal with client issues/challenges
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experienced user of MS Excel, Word and other programs within the Microsoft suite
