Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily team BAU functions with high level of accuracy, while maintaining responsibility for risk management within the team through use of checklists, and timely escalation
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicator benchmarks are met, and implement remediation strategies where required
  • Interact with a number of key stakeholders and global Operations teams within the firm on a daily basis, while also interacting with external clients, via email and phone. Ensure extra focus given during peak periods when an increase in demand can be placed by clients, both internal and external. Act as liaison point with various other teams within the Firm when required.
  • Management of any internal and external risk through adhering to the team risk and control framework
  • Provide timely and accurate information to client service groups
  • Produce management reporting information where required, to ensure processes are recorded and all key controls are delivered
  • Management of risk items within FID space including Buy Ins, DKs and post settlement amendments.
  • Break management and resolution, aged and complex fail resolution and closing out unsecured cash items.
  • Client service and query management U and Sales desk interaction, frequently at MD level.
  • Oversight and control of vendor team BAU functions
  • Risk reporting to senior management and BU risk contacts
  • Consistently reviewing current processes and procedures to identify efficiencies and risk mitigation
  • Preparation for regulatory and market changes including Brexit remediation and CSDR.
  • Progression and further training opportunities across the ICS department available for the right candidate.

  • An understanding of the wider financial environment
  • The ability to effectively prioritise a high volume of work in a real-time environment
  • Good risk awareness and the ability to escalate issues appropriately
  • Analytical and keen eye for detail, accuracy & quality
  • Teamwork is particularly important and the sharing of information is key to the success of the team
  • Able to identify and support the resolution of ambiguous problems through initiative and tenacity
  • Good IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) - A good aptitude for working in a demanding, fast paced environment
  • A good approach to change management on account of the teams continual growth and development
  • A desire to question existing procedures and continually seek to improve processes
  • Seek to problem solve
  • Ability to work across silos where required
  • Strong Communication skills as candidate will be expected to develop relationships with vendor, clients and the Business Unit.
