It is the UKs largest source of renewable electricity.Would you like a role in The Green Energy sectorAre you able to Communicate with clarity, focus on results, deliver excellence, lead teams, and develop othersJob role:Works as a member of the Network Operations team, as part of Group IT responsible for providing 3rd line Network support for multiple sites.Deliver network related requirements for both BAU and external projectsResponsible for day-to-day operation and support of Network infrastructure including Cisco (switches, routers, firewalls), Palo Alto (firewalls & Panorama) and Meraki wireless systemsResponsible for implementation of Firewall rule changes (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Checkpoint)Ensuring network equipment, Switches, Routers, firewalls etc are patched, upgraded in a timely manner to latest stable versionsContinue to review and improve the technology solution or knowledge base allowing issues to be fixed on first touch and minimising client downtimeThe role will be mix of remote working but will required to go to local Drax office 1 to 2 times per week depending on business needs this will include occasional travel to other sites around the UK to assist with resolving issues or project deliverables.You may be required to carry out work and provide support outside of standard operating hours and over weekendsExperience and Skills Required:Knowledge of Cisco switches (IOS, IOS-XE, Nexus) and routing (CCNP or strong CCNA preferrable)Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall (Panorama or Prisma access would be desirable)Knowledge of ASA / Checkpoint Firewalls would be beneficialWorking knowledge of ITSM practicesExperience of working with third party Telco service providers would also be desirableCandidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.
