As a Barclays Governance Manager, Model Strategy Oversight (MSO), you will work as part of a new centralised modelling team within Risk. Reporting to the MSO Governance Lead you will support key governance activities including managing senior committees,defining agendas, engaging with contributors and challenging to ensure standards are achieved. You will also have the opportunity to represent the team as part of other governance bodies, ensuring oversight of compliance is maintained. We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing Actively maintaining Terms of Reference documentation, supporting the management and prioritisation of the Group Model Management Steering Committee (GMMSC) agenda Gathering the relevant input for the preparation of the papers to be discussed and ensure accurate recording of discussions and follow up actions Supporting the creation, harmonisation and consolidation of high quality management information for relevant governance bodies/stakeholders as well as regulatory meetings Working with stakeholders to improve engagement, ensuring adequate representation at the Committee and proactive engagement on the closure of issues and escalation point Actively maintaining the MSO Book of Work, summarising reviews performed and associated outcomes/recommendations, as well maintain the upcoming review pipeline What were looking for: High quality written communication and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences including senior stakeholders Ability to assess validity of work delivered, provide appropriate challenge and make recommendation where quality or control levels are not acceptable Confident working across cross-functional and virtual teams with a demonstrable track record of solid team work and delivery Project Management skills, able to mobilise, plan and track projects and actions to completion, and report on progress to various levels of seniority within Barclays Skills that will help you in the role: Developed stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills Proven facilitation and negotiation skills evidenced through managing and influencing discussion and debate at a senior level Risk Governance experience including both business and technical acumen Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
