Job Description

This position will set-up all required mould tooling and materials per work order instructions. In addition, this role will be responsible for operating moulding presses, handling tool equipment and forklift operations to perform job duties. The role isresponsible for running production orders safely while maintaining quality of moulded products.Client DetailsThe oldest and most experienced lawn bowls manufacturer in the world.Description

  • Weigh and load powder into moulds of various sizes.
  • Hand load pre-heated powder into press moulds.
  • Manually control processes using electronic controls and gauges.
  • Trim and deburr parts using hand tools
  • Complete all paperwork correctly and legibly.
  • Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment.
  • Maintains workspace before, during, and after each scheduled shift
  • Follow work order instructions and perform part inspection for dimension and quality.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
Profile
  • Previous compression moulding experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • 6+ months experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in above average temperatures.
  • Maintain high attendance standards.
Job OfferThe pay grade for this post is £10.00 per hour for your initial six-month probation. Rising to £12.24 per hour thereafter. On a two shift rotation days / back shift. 40 hours a week. 17% shift premium added to that if you work two shifts. Only days required for the first 6 months.
