Job Description

Company: DF Concerts and EventsDepartment: Marketing & CommunicationsLocation: St Vincent Street, GlasgowReports to: Communications ManagerWorking hours: Full time, 40hrs - Mon to Fri + additional event work as requiredRole DescriptionThe main purpose of this role is to support on the delivery of successful marketing and communication campaigns across all the companys key brands, maximising ticket sales and revenue. You will assist the team in providing high quality marketing and communicationscampaigns, as well as providing admin support to the full team. In addition, you will support in the creation and delivery of all communication activities.DF Concerts bring the best live music and life affirming experiences to music fans across Scotland, year after year. Throughout their 1,000 concerts per year, DF Concerts work with some of the biggest names in music as well as champion the career progressionof newly established acts. Having previously organised Scotlands largest music festival, T in the Park, from 1994 to 2016, the company added the inaugural TRNSMT Festival to the line-up in 2017. DF Concerts is also responsible for the 35k capacity GlasgowSummer Sessions and the 6K capacity Edinburgh Summer Sessions, held against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Additionally, the company owns and operates, "quite possibly the finest small venue in the world", King Tuts Wah Wah Hut - supporting the vibrantmusic scene from grassroots level, up.What the role includes

  • Support the marketing and communications team to develop and implement effective marketing and communications campaigns across all media platforms for DF shows and events.
  • Research, write and distribute press releases, website articles, customer emails, responses to media and statements.
  • Coordinating the creation of show artwork and video trailers and the process of getting designs approved with artist agents and management.
  • Measure and evaluate marketing and communications campaigns - successes and failures and disseminate information to relevant parties in a well presented and concise format.
  • Coordinate and producing print materials, including posters and flyers, and organise the distribution of printed marketing material.
  • Arrange interviews between artists and journalists - in person or over the phone.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with key agencies and media.
  • Assist with customer service messaging across all social platforms.
  • Assist the team with all marketing and communications administration and ad hoc requests.
  • Keep abreast of effective marketing strategies, ensuring we make full use of evolving technology, approaches, and tools within digital marketing.
Who you areCompetencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
  • Degree in Marketing (or relevant) or proven experience in a relevant marketing and communications role based in a fast-paced working environment with the ability to demonstratejoined up thinking.
  • Excellent copywriting and interpersonal skills
  • A demonstrable, roundedunderstanding of the full marketing mix including communications and digital marketing.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • A passion for all things marketing and a strong desire to learn, create, contribute, and innovate.
  • Experience creating engaging content and copy
  • Experience using marketing and social media platforms, such as Mailchimp, Canva, CMS, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • The drive to take initiative, work independently and be accountable while also working as a team player who is collaborative, positive, and flexible
