Are you an experienced Machine Learning Engineer Do you want to help grow a market leading AI capability from the ground up on the AWS cloud If so I have a fantastic permanent role with a company that creates and manages an essential service to the care sector.This is a remote working role at the moment and in time when market allows there will be an office in the central belt of Scotland.You will be building real data and machine learning applications to serve a very large customer base. You will have the opportunity to be part of something unique in an industry with a lot of data and not enough analysis.Responsibilities will include:· Taking practical business problems and solving them with machine learning· Be a key part of designing and owning their data lake and warehouse· Be responsible for the data pipelines that ingest and process data· Be responsible for building AI-driven products to deliver insights and predictions · Combine solid programming skills in Python and Spark with a willingness to try new programming languages and frameworks · Contribute your views to help build out the data estate in our business to solve bigger and more complex problems· Remain technically curious about developments in NLP, ML and AI · Be outcome-focused Your experience should include:· Significant hands-on experience deploying data or machine learning driven applications in industry. · A PhD or MSc in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, life sciences, etc.), is preferred but not essential· Strong programming skills in Python, with Spark experience highly desirable· Knowledge of MLOps principles or prior experience of deploying and managing machine learning models in production· Experience of deploying and running services on cloud infrastructure (AWS is a plus - Sagemaker or ElasticMapReduce preferred)· Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Keras, or PyTorchTo hear more about this really interesting role get in touch.
