Vacancies exist for the above posts from 5 August 2020. These posts are available at a variety of levels equivalent to ST1, ST2 and ST3 within the West of Scotland, providing experience in all aspects of ENT in a mix of city and district general hospitals. The posts are based in the West of Scotland which includes NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, NHS Lanarkshire, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, NHS Dumfries & Galloway and NHS Forth Valley.These posts will be Locum Appointments for Training (LAT), Locum Appointments for Service (LAS) OR Clinical Fellows (CF) dependant on experience. If appointed as an appointment for service (LAS) or Clinical Fellow (CF) then the post will not be recognised for training. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they possess FY competencies. Trainees with previous training experience are welcomed and there is no limit on the number of months of previous training experience.To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.There may be a possibility to extend this appointment to the end of the training year. The extension may be at any of the hospitals on the rotation.If appointed to a relevant Specialty Training Programme through open competition, documented competences achieved through a LAT can count towards CCT, or towards a CESR application for those not entering an approved Specialty Training Programme.Person specifications are available on:
