Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation based in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Librarian for an initial 4-month contract on an hourly rate £12-£15.70 (equivalent to £24,700-£30,700-inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be remote based.Responsibilities:·To ensure all knowledge and learning resources are discoverable and can be managed effectively by users·To deliver a digital library service for the health and social care workforce in Scotland via The Knowledge Network·To deliver Turas Learn as learning management system for the organisation·To support educators within the organisation to deliver learning in a digital environment ·To support the workforce to have the skills and competencies to find, share and use knowledge and learning resources.·To promote knowledge management good practice both within the organisation and externally.·To collaborate with organisation librarians to get knowledge into action for policy and practice·Implement the information management processes to ensure users can navigate and use the search to find the learning resources they require·Create Learning Sites for external admins to populate ·Catalogue resources and create learning programmes using Turas Learn content management system.·Support the distributed administrators to develop Learning sites, using quality metadata and catalogued resources·Test eLearning modules.Requirements: ·Educated to degree level, with a postgraduate qualification in library, information or knowledge management.·Experience of cataloguing and information management in a digital environment·Experience of use of content management systems to manage and display digital content.·An understanding of the importance of metadata to support discovery ·An eye for detail If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
