Job Description

Legal Counsel -IP Legal Counsel - IP - Technology - Procurement - Data Protection - OutsourcingJob Title: Legal Counsel (IP, Technology & Procurement)iKas International are currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel (IP, Technology & Procurement) on behalf of a market leading banking client based in Glasgow. You will be responsible for supporting the bank on intellectual property, technology, data protection, outsourcing and offshoring issues.Key responsibilities:

  • Providing high quality, efficient legal advice, and assistance on a wide range of matters focusing on technology, IP, data protection and data transfers, e-commerce, and digital initiatives.
  • Review negotiates and draft legal documentation effectively, whilst ensuring consistent and rigorous legal risk management.
  • Provide support, guidance and training on IP, technology, and data protection specialist issues to local and global Legal teams and other functions.
    • Required skills / experience:
  • Qualified lawyer, 2-5 years PQE, in a major international jurisdiction with relevant practical experience gained at an international law firm or institutional bank in an IP / Technology /Commercial team.
  • Must have in-depth and solid knowledge of intellectual property (ideally including trademarks, copyright and patents), technology and data protection laws.
