Salary : Salary: Grade 7/8/9: £37,474 - £42,155 / £46,047 - £53,353 / £54,949 - £61,823 per annumOur client is an energetic and growing international centre of excellence in engineering teaching and research. The School delivers student teaching and learning across five Engineering Disciplines: Aeronautical, Biomedical, Civil, Electrical & Electronicand Mechanical Engineering. It also leads research in Autonomous Systems & Connectivity (including Aerospace); Biomedical Engineering; Electronics and Nanoscale Engineering; Infrastructure and Environment; and Systems, Power and Energy. They have in the regionof 170 academics and 190 researchers supported by approximately 70 technicians and 40 professional services staff. Currently they have ~500 research students working towards doctorates.They are seeking to appoint an ambitious academic to join them within the Civil Engineering domain in the specialism of Structural Engineering Design/Civil Engineering Skills to contribute to the planning, organisation and delivery of teaching activities.Expertise of the successful applicants is expected to focus on delivering innovative industry facing structural and civil engineering design education including professional and society focussed skills such as sustainability and ethics.They have an international reputation for high quality teaching as demonstrated through their leading positions within UK and International league tables. They expect the successful academic to complement and synergise within their existing activities andto develop a network of collaborations locally (across them) as well as liaise with industry.
