My client design highly complex, enterprise level solutions that are used all over the world. They currently require a Lead Automation Test Engineer join their technology team in the UK. This role is based in Glasgow, Scotland with lots of interaction with the UK and global teams. They are investing heavily in their products and services and this siteis growing rapidly. This team focus on Validation of Firmware & Software products for all assigned projects.Lead Automation Test Engineer - Responsibilities will include:- Owns Validation sign off for all the products and process.- Responsible for design and development of test cases, test tools, and test scripts for Software.- Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function- Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using test complete.- Drives validation of hardware platforms consisting of micro-computer based systems with analog / digital IOLead Automation Test Engineer - Skills and experience will include:- Good commercial experience on complex products involving electronics and software, with experience of SW test automation.- Hands on experience of developing test automation using test complete infrastructure.- Candidate must have basic programming skills in Linux and Windows software development platform.- Good development/scripting skills in common languages like VB, JAVA, PERL, C++, Python etc- Database skills, mainly in SQL Server & Oracle- Good understanding of object oriented programming, J2EE architecture, .NET, etcThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leading technology company and would on some amazing projects.
