Land SurveyorGlasgowEngineering Contractor£28,000 - £39,000 pa + Shift + BenefitsA Land Surveyor is required to join an engineering contractor working across Scotland and sometimes Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for all aspects of the technical delivery of individual survey projects, carrying out topographical surveys acrossthe rail network, mentoring trainees and graduates, as well as assisting in the preparation of cost effective contract submissions. The role requires flexibility around working night shifts and weekends, as well as potentially working away from home when neededdue to scheduled track possessions.The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline (OR be HND/HNC qualified) and will have experience in the rail industry. You will also need experience with small contract management, junior staff supervision, knowledgeof operational railway and its associated safety and to be fully conversant with all topological survey aspects (inducing the use of Total Station).
