Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit 3x Junior Project Managers until 31st March 2024 on a rate of £23.70/hour PAYE. These roles will be predominantly remote based with the occasional day in theoffice.Responsibilities:- To define, develop, monitor and report on the projects associated within the organisation. - The Project Manager supports the delivery of an effective management and control mechanism for the creation, approval and delivery of projects by managing the plans, risks and project resources (inc. third party contributions and other organisation resources)to deliver outcomes to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the individual Project Plans.- Providing Internal Consultancy & Quality Improvement services to the organisation.Essential Skills:- Degree with evidence of continuing professional development- Proven project management experience: Co-ordinating all Project Phases including Initiation, Design, Implementation, Transition and Support.- Effective leadership skills. Ability to lead and create a clear common purpose amongst the members of the sub-project teams- Engagement with organisation leaders, directors and senior management teams leading successful change programmes and projects. - Excellent communication and negotiation/influencing skills - Delivering quality improvement initiatives - Use of information for management purposes and in setting and monitoring targets and performance indicators.- Good knowledge of methodologies and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects- Evidence of continuous professional development- Excellent written and oral communication skills including report writing and presentation skills - Clinical or managerial experience- Awareness and appreciation of data collection, processing and of the use of data in providing information- Organising and chairing meetings- Results focused- Team focused- Motivated by continuous personal and service improvement- Computer literacy, working knowledge of commonly used software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Project)- Flexible approach and commitment to apply skills across the organisation in support of business priorities - The ability to travel throughout Scotland and occasionally furtherDesirable Skills:- Constructing pragmatic proposals for developing new initiatives that balance innovation and excellent modern methods within the resources available, and that have a clear change management plan- Managing constantly evolving, high profile and high cost / benefit strategic and business critical change projects across an organisation of significantly specialised and unique functions.- Formal programme and project management training e.g. Managing Successful Programmes™ and PRINCE2™.- Additional experience in other disciplines due to the variety of projects, such as Human Resource or ITIf you would like to hear more about these opportunities, please get in touch.
