My client who is a major Investment Bank is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their newly formed team on a greenfield project based in Glasgow.In this role you will be responsible for the design and development of front office/ middle office applications.Requirements* Experience developing Java-based applications* Good understanding of Spring * Experience working at an investment bank or within financial servicesNice to have* Near real time transactional systems with NoSQL databases (Kafka, Elastic Search) * Experience with big data concepts (we use Hadoop and Spark) * Experience with Scala (very desirable)This is a long term contract opportunity paying up to £858p/d via umbrella, where my client requires the candidate on site in the Glasgow office 2 days a week.
