Job Description

Are you looking to kick start a career in IT Support A drug and alcohol charity in Scotland are looking to employ an IT Support Apprentice who will complete an SCQF Level 6 qualification.The successful candidate will be joining the charity’s IT Team and provide first line IT support to approximately 550 staff who are located across the UK. This opportunity has developed as they look to maintain their high levels of customer service withina growing organisation, to do this they are expanding their team.Responsibilities:

  • Providing first line telephone, email and face-to-face support to users
  • Escalating IT issues to other members of the IT Team as appropriate
  • Creating, processing, maintaining and resolving tickets using the Service Desk tool
  • Monitoring of ticket queues
  • Providing support for desktop PCs and laptops, tablets and smartphones
  • Updating self-help and FAQ knowledge documents
  • Deployments and upgrades to equipment as requested
  • Providing support for meeting room AV and presentation equipment/services
  • Providing support for a wide range of mainstream software and other business software
What do I need to be successful
  • A genuine interest in providing IT support
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop environments and Microsoft Office
  • Good time keeping skills
  • Good communication skills
  • It is desirable that the postholder has completed a relevant secondary school level ITqualification or above
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an IT team to deliver added value to the organisation
  • You must be able to drive as this is a requirement of the role
Salary:£21,350 per annumWorking week:Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pmBenefits:
