The Team The IT/IP Technology Team has cutting-edge expertise and advises on a broad range of commercial matters across a number of technology sectors. They are known for focusing on work of the highest quality and theirclients range from large international blue chips to smaller commercial entities working with cutting edge technologies. The team is headed by an acknowledged authority on technology and IP matters. They have an outstanding reputation for working on interestingand innovative law contracts and projects across the UK and internationally. The Role The position offers clear progression opportunities in a supportive team environment, where you will get fantastic exposure to high profile clients and cases, working closelywith the Legal 500 ranked Partners who are known for their expertise. You will have the opportunity to handle an assortment of matters relating to complex commercial contracts, IT procurements, outsourcing projects, acquisitions of IT software, and systemand IT service agreements. You will also be advising a multitude of life sciences companies, as well as universities, on the IP issues arising from newly developing, IP-rich areas, including genomics and digital health. The Candidate * 2-10 PQE+, Scottishor English Qualified Solicitor * Strong general commercial expertise is essential with a good working knowledge of IP and IT matters * Specific expertise in certain sectors such as financial services, energy or life sciences would be beneficial * The rolewill carry a high degree of client contact, and so experience and confidence in dealing directly with clients is important * Self-motivated with a pro-active and professional approach to your work * Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively* Be a strong team player with experience or interest in supervising, motivating and developing junior members of a team This is a great opportunity to join a progressive and forward thinking Firm where clients recommend them because of the quality of skillsand the depth of experience across the whole team.
