IT Forensic Engineer - cyber and technology IT Forensic Engineer / IT Security Engineer. A claims management firm need an IT Forensic Engineer - cyber and technology to join the team. This role can be entirely home based, although the firm have offices all over the UK. The IT Forensic Engineer / IT SecuritySpecialist - cyber and technology will take ownership of complex IT projects flowing from instructions received by the team in respect of client networks impacted by external threat actors. The IT Forensic Engineer / IT Security Specialist - cyber and technology using a combination of OSINT and proprietary tools will have the necessary skills to determine how the attack occurred, how to secure the network and recommend a course of action to completerepairs. Your development will include on the job and external training. You`ll also have the chance to develop the IT forensics product and by doing so, your future, with potential to develop a forensic team as the business grows. Working in collaboration with the Cyber and Technology adjusters to provide forensic IT support and incident response to cyber incidents, the role includes responsibility for ensuring cyber security incident response capabilities are managed & maintained, ensuringagreed security standards, policies & procedures are adhered to in relation to ICT systems and services reviewed, and assisting with the management & execution of the annual Cyber Essentials / + product lines Youll undertake a review of networks post incident suffering as a result of an attack and identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, reducing associated risks to impacted networks, have responsibility for the operation, management & development of theSecurity Information & Event Management (SIEM) solution in conjunction with the Cyber and technology incident managers, and support the Cyber and Technology team in the development of relevant strategies and policies. In addition, youll be responsible for the reporting of audit findings and resolution to incident response managers in a timely fashion, developing security recommendations to incident response managers based on audit findings, to enhance and improve operationaldelivery and security, and lead the remedial action / risk reduction plans that result from security audits, cyber exposures and security assessments. As Forensic IT support within our team you will be able to;
