Innovations Project Manager

Job Description

Our client, a public sector health provider, seek an eHealth Innovations Project Manager, in an initial 6 month basis.This role is based on 2 days per week and attracts a day rate of £375 per day (inside IR35) umbrella.The role is split between Govan and Paisley, with home working also applicable.Responsibilities:

• -Creation of system requirement documents, scenario testing, systems appraisal and budgetary reports for small through to enterprise wide clinical and non clinical systems
• -Business process mapping, re engineering and redesign of current and proposed operational environments for clinical and non clinical settings
• -Planning, scheduling and rescheduling as necessitated, complex interdependent projects within a governed, risk minimal manner ensuring projects deliverables are aligned with other project dependencies.
• -The monitoring and reporting of programme progress, risk and exceptions to the programme steering group(s) where appropriate.
• -Understanding of IT systems, data and architecture at local and national levels.
• -Scoping, planning, managing, testing and implementing interfaces, data flows and integrations between systems.
• -Bringing an analytical approach.
• -Supporting the wider development of the Data Exchange platform through bringing an applications and data architecture perspective and progressing proposed developments and solutions with involved partners.

Essential Skills:

• -Educated to degree level or equivalent in computer science or engineering, and/or can demonstrate experience at Project Manager (and desirable re Architect or Integration Lead roles)
• -Significant practical experience in the specification, development and implementation of information systems within a public or private service environment.
• -Both theoretical and practical knowledge of applications and data architecture gained through past implementations of product sets.
• -Both theoretical and practical experience of database structures gained through achieving a relevant diploma or degree and/or previous practical workplace experience.
• -Highly developed knowledge of technical aspects of systems; database, software and integration environments and associated knowledge of legislation, best practices and procedures surrounding IT.
• -Knowledge and experience gained managing projects and leading analysis activity within an agile and modern IT environment involving multiple stakeholders
• -Track record of working in partnership with a range of external stakeholders to deliver complex projects.
• -Able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a time constrained manner
• -Can exercise initiative and work independently
• -Good interpersonal and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence decision-making
• -Able to communicate clearly at all levels within an organisation
• -Flexible and innovative approach; can manage uncertainty and change
• -Understands a broad range of modern technologies and able to operate as both a manager and analyst in a highly technical domain
• -Influencing skills at a senior level
• -Highly analytical
