RECRUITMENTiQ is supporting a business that hasa partnership with 14 Scottish higher education institutions offering world-class capabilities and resources in the field of energy research and development.Strathclyde University is our administrative and physical host. As part of our governance structure, we have representation from across the organisations academic partners as well as a wider stakeholder community.We are looking for a motivated, proactive and commercially aware Innovation Engagement Officer to support Scotlands Hydro Nation Energy Innovation Programme (HNEIP), a 4-year programme to forge relationships between pioneering Scottish companies and Scottishuniversities to develop innovative products and processes in the water sector.The RoleYou will work closely with Scotlands Hydro Nation Chair at the University of Stirling, as well as with the Scottish Government and Scottish Water, to grow the Scottish industry-academic water innovation programme community. You will also drive a programmeof funded industry-academic projects which create innovative new water products and processes.This is a perfect opportunity for a highly self-motivated Innovation Engagement Officer to make a key contribution to Scottish research, and to Scotlands water economy.Job DescriptionWorking as a member of the existing Business Development Team you will be responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships across the Energy & Water sector that lead to impactful, income-generating partnerships with businesses and academia thatbroadly support the mission of our business and the Scottish Governments Hydro Nation programme.A key aspect of this broad role will be facilitating successful business-university collaborations, identifying EU, UK & International funding opportunities for such collaboration and driving these bids to successful completion, developing networks, as wellas stimulating innovative advanced manufacturing projects and cross-disciplinary collaborations that support Energy research with other areas of expertise within theUniversity alliance.Although the post will be based in Glasgow, travel to our14 partner Universities and visits to companies and related organisations, across Scotland will be required.Skills and Experience
