Job Description

FPSG have partnered with a long term client who truly are a Scottish success story in. The client are looking to add an Infrastructure & Documentation Audit Support to the existing IT team based in Glasgow.In recent years the business has gone from strength to strength and with no signs of things slowing this role will be crucial in allowing the Infrastructure team to continue to operate at the highest of standards whilst always delivering what the business needs. The position will play a key part in delivery of Infrastructure Support, System Monitoring and Documentation within the business. The role is also responsible for providing on-going support and monitoring of reporting systems.Role Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Microsoft Windows Domain-based networks including Group Policies, Login Scripts and all application servers.
  • Ensure all systems remain within support and are fully licenced.
  • Documentation and tracking of all issue identified through alerting, penetration test or any other means.
  • Manage and carry out Disaster Recovery and Workplace Recovery Tests.
  • Work with 3rd party service providers to deliver services to broader business teams and ensuring all providers deliver to SLAs.
  • Contribute to the success of ongoing Infrastructure related projects.
  • Deploy software, patches, updates and monitor backups and storage.
  • Monitoring of systems to prevent threats.
  • Hardware and software asset management.
  • Skills and experience required:
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Domain-based networks including Group Policies, Login Scripts and all application servers.
  • Experience of working within a recognised framework, e.g. ITIL, ISO27001
  • Daily monitoring of services.
  • Identify and implement continual improvements within the infrastructure, processes and systems.
  • Capable of documenting work instructions.
  • Keen analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Delivering project/tasks on time and with quality.
  • Clear communicator to all levels of business with excellent report writing and verbal skills.

  • Pro-actively manage issues and take ownership of problems & resolutions.
