Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a HR Coordinator (12-month FTC, site based) to join a transforming business that has been an integral part of shipbuilding on the River Clyde since 1903. Over the past few years, they have pushed the boundaries of innovation,particularly in the development of green propulsion technologiesfirst diesel-electric hybrid and then the liquefied natural gas.This newly created role will be front line to providing excellent customer service to employees. This role will be responsible for administering all transactional activity in support of the Department and providing an accurate, efficient, and consistent administrativeservice in support of the future direction of the function in support of the business.As HR Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Effective Management & timely work allocation from the shared mailbox, ensuring a prompt and accurate response is provided within 3 working days.
  • Supporting all elements of matters including discipline, grievance & absence.
  • Supporting recruitment of talent from managing the ATR process through to and including induction.
  • Assisting the wider workforce with basic HR & Employment law advice in relation to holiday entitlements, Paternity and Maternity enquiries or general policy enquiries.
  • Providing a dedicated administration service to the wider team, including the generation of meeting documentation including letter & contract creation, support consultation meetings, meeting outcomes and occupational health referrals, gathering of peopleMI and supporting with business wide employee communications as required.
  • Supporting projects within the HR /L&D function.
  • Managing all administrative activity for the department.
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders across the site.
  • Administration of calendar activities.
We are looking for a HR Coordinator who has the following skills and experiences:
  • CPP as a minimum requirement up to and including an MSc in Human Resource Management.
  • Strong HR administration skills, previously gained in a fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience working in a customer service/service focused environment.
  • Exceptional Eye for detail and accuracy with a double check mentality.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, dealing with employees and managers.
  • Good understanding of HR administrative practices including contract generation.
  • A good understanding of GDPR in practice.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good time management.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, flexibility is the key.
