BREEDON GROUP PLC is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. We operate two cement plants and around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, 9 concrete and clay products plants, 4 contract surfacing businesses, 6 import/export terminals and 2 slate production facilities.Position: Regional Human Resources Business PartnerLocation: Uddingston, South LanarkshireJob type: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £CompetitiveBenefits: We offer competitive terms and benefits associated with being an employer of choice, including pension and share save optionAbout the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Human Resources Business Partner based at our Uddingston Office. You will report to and work closely with the HR Manager to provide a comprehensive and professional service to the business whilst embedding HR best practice, the people strategy and Breedon’s core values.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Responsible for the delivery of a commercial HR service across your designated area ensuring HR best practice is consistently embedded in the business• Actively influence the delivery of the people strategy by operating as an integrated member of the business area• Coach, support and challenge Managers in the application of HR policies and practices• Engage with all levels of the workforce to ensure harmonious employee relations, taking appropriate formal or informal steps to resolve conflicts and disputes• Provide advice and guidance on complex employee relations issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure• Provide robust support in the delivery of disciplinary, grievance and capability processes to ensure the maintenance of company standards and maintain accurate and easily retrievable records for all ER cases• Work with the HR Administrator to manage the full recruitment process from start to finish• Support managers with recruitment, including short-listing CVs, advising on appropriate questions and/or tests for interviews and participating in interview panels• Assist with management information including analysis of reports• Work collaboratively with the HR Team to ensure the accuracy of documentation and records are not compromised• To coordinate and manage key HR projects across the wider business as directed by the HR Manager.• Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of the HR service provided to the businessAbout you:You will have a degree in either Human Resources, Law or equivalent and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. You will have a minimum of 5 years general HR experience within a highly commercial and fast paced environment and you will have regular exposure to and influencing senior managers.
