Job Description

Our client who is based in Kirkintilloch, have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Scheduler on a temporary basis for approx. 3 months.Hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, and will be based in the Kirkintilloch area. The Pay rate will be £15.21 per hour.Basic Disclosure Scotland dated within the last 12 months is required for this role.Job role:

  • Support effective deployment of all resources throughout property maintenance ensuring the allocation and deployment of frontline teams
  • Provide an efficient and effective first point of contact for customers and frontline teams in the pursuit of excellent customer service, alignment to Service Level Agreements and performance targets
  • Support the performance of Property Maintenance through a culture of teamwork and flexibility, contributing to the overall success .
  • Contribute to the development of, and lead on the implementation of the use of electronic processes to remove duplication while optimising information management and communication resulting in improved customer experience.
  • Ensure that all repairs and programmed works meets the individual needs of service users by maintaining the scheduling tool and committing resources on an as required basis.
  • Continually appraise and adjust resources to ensure that services are provided at the earliest opportunity to service users.
  • Ensure that all scheduling data is up to date and accurate to reflect service delivery needs ensuring continuity of service.
  • Attempt to resolve a customers enquiry at point of contact by taking ownership of the request ensuring ongoing updates and communication channels are undertaken.
  • Manage and update the production of daily and weekly rotas
  • Analyse the reports and management information from scheduling system and activities to support the identification of gaps, undertaken trend analysis and the identification of any additional resource requirements with Team Leaders and operational staff.
  • Ensure accidents, incidents, comments, and complaints are logged and passed to the appropriate member of operatives to attend to.
Key Skills:
  • A working knowledge of repairs and maintenance across housing and non-housing building services
  • Provide a strong commercial awareness with a sound knowledge of systems analysis and maintenance
  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to tailor communication depending on audience
  • Varied systems experience in a Housing / Building Maintenance or Local Authority environment
  • HNC in Business Administration / Housing or equivalent experience
  • Planning, organisational and prioritisation of work requirements
  • Self-Motivated, Flexible & Adaptable
