Job Description

Meraki Talent are exclusively engaged on a Head of Business Performance role based towards the west of Glasgow paying up to £90,000 + bonus & benefits.The OpportunityThe organisation is going through a fantastic period of change & transformation as it invests heavily to ensure it remain tips of the sword and to evolve with market & economic factors. As a result the CFO is restructuring finance and creating a new Headof Business Performance role to be more proactive & forward-thinking, have greater visibility and play a pivotal role in achieving strategic objectives.The new Head of Business Performance must be obsessed with peeling through the layers to truly understand the business enabling them to make the best business decisions in relation to performance, direction, structure and teams. It’s critical the successfulindividual is excited by the build process - this isn’t a role/function where everywhere inherited will already be in place or perfect but the business has an exceptional appetite to become world class.The key role components will include:

  • Reporting directly to the CFO and deputising in their absence
  • Supporting the SLT and Board including production & presentation of monthly Board packs
  • Aiding decision making and direction through financial, planning & analysis including supporting sales, commercial & operations
  • Direct management of the FP&A function
  • Indirect management of management accounting function
  • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
  • Reviewing and developing automation, data, processes, procedures, controls & systems
CFO Mentorship The CFO is extremely grateful to the fantastic mentor figures in their earlier career and is keen to replicate that support & mentorship to the new Head of Business Performance to ensure the individual reaches their full potential.Furthermore, as the finance function evolves, the CFO will provide capacity for the Head of Business Performance role to also oversee and have involvement with financial control & compliance which will provide an unbelievable opportunity for an ambitiousindividual that has aspirations to become a CFO with the next 5 years.Candidate Profile We are keen to engage with individuals that match the below criteria:
  • Qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience
  • A proven track record within FP&A managerial/leadership roles
  • Industrial sector experience such as FMCG, Food & Drink, engineering or manufacturing
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
On OfferThe position of Head of Business Performance is based in the west of Glasgow with good flexible and hybrid working. Given the leadership nature of the role, it’s expected the role will be in the office 2-3 days per week. The role will also offer:
  • Up to £90,000 base salary
  • Discretionary bonus
