Job Description

Group Finance ManagerSalary c£75k plus excellent benefits Glasgow with hybrid working (two days in the office) Lusona is working exclusively with one of our clients in Glasgow to source suitable applicants for the post of Group Finance Manager. This is a senior position within the Finance function reporting to the Financial Controller, with regular exposure to theCFO, and the successful applicant will own and lead a broad range of financial activities.The Group Finance Manager will be responsible for Group Cash flow forecasting, Treasury management, Tax compliance, Statutory Financial Reporting, Group consolidation, audit, DB Pension scheme, Insurance and CoSec activities. The role is also responsiblefor producing insightful analysis and reporting to the banks, the Board and the Private Equity investors.The key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the end-to-end compliance and reporting processes for the banks and investors:
    • forecasting, modelling and reporting
    • ensuring ongoing compliance with related legal documents, identifying and seeking consent in advance where required
    • identifying and taking proactive mitigating actions where required
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO to plan, prepare and implement a refinancing strategy
  • Creation, ownership and ongoing running of a streamlined end-to-end process for cash and treasury management
  • Devising cash management strategies to manage long-term cash objectives
  • Responsibility for the closed DB Pension Scheme compliance and funding, including delivering its long-term strategy plus liaising and negotiating with the scheme trustee
  • Year-end consolidation and completion of all statutory accounts for the group, including managing necessary audits
  • Company secretarial matters for all Group companies
  • Managing the Group tax agenda with support from advisers and mitigates cash tax outflow where possible
  • Establishing and maintaining external relationships with key 3rd parties including:
    • Proactive management of senior stakeholders within the debt contacts at banks, and the bank’s agent
    • Monthly Board reporting, investor shareholders and Private Equity investors
    • Pension trustees and actuaries
    • Auditors, tax advisers and other professional advisers
To be considered for this role, candidates must be fully Qualified, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS and have consolidation experience, knowledge of producing statutory financial statements under FRS102 and completing external audits. Previous experience of managingtreasury, cash flow forecasting, reporting against banking covenants and bank legal documents are all advantageous.
