FULL TIME - Shift Working (Relief across all teams) PART TIME - 12 hour Relief INTERNAL STAFF ONLY An exciting job opportunity has arisen for full time dispatchers within our East Ambulance Control Centre. The East ACC covers an extensive operational area including both high population and remote and rural areas. The role of the ACC dispatcher is demanding and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team is essential to provide 24hr Accident and Emergency cover to the public. The candidate must be able to demonstrate clear evidence of accuracy and compliance with system protocols and Standard Operating Procedures, and demonstrate an ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision. The successful applicant must be able to dispatch Ambulances to emergency /urgent calls, ensuring optimum use of resources in accordance with Service quality standards and deployment strategies. They should be competent in the use of computer software such as Office suite. The role of the ACC dispatcher is demanding and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team is essential to provide 24hr Accident and Emergency cover to the public.The candidate must be able to demonstrate clear evidence of accuracy and compliance with system protocols and SOPs, demonstrate an ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision. The successful applicant must be able to dispatch Ambulances to emergency /urgent calls, ensuring optimum use of resources in accordance with Service quality standards and deployment strategies.There will be a 2-3 week training period for this role and you will thereafter work within the Ambulance Control Centre.
