Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Front-end Developer (Customer Facing) on a 12 month contract with a well established public sector organisation. The position can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.An experienced lead front-end developer with solid commercial experience of building web applications using React.js and Next.js consuming REST APIs in an OpenShift environment is required to accelerate the organisations delivery of new and improved digitalservices to their customers.Role Responsibilities

  • Develop the title inaccuracy enquiry service
  • Develop enhanced level of Sasine information
  • Develop a client administration UI to support new APIs
  • Support and develop Customer Facing products
  • Enhance the ScotLIS business and public platforms
  • Ensure high quality of developed solutions through development and maintenance of unit tests
Role RequirementsSignificant experience of the following technology
  • React.js
  • Next.js
  • Node.js
  • OpenShift
  • Modern DevOps and CI/CD practices including deployment pipelines, Jenkins, and Docker.
Significant and demonstrable commercial experience in the following areas:
  • Leading front-end development in a team of full stack developers
  • Experience developing within Digital First or GDS quality standards
  • History in Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes, including Grafana
  • Working in Agile delivery models.
  • Using UI pattern libraries to achieve consistent, tested, and high-quality interfaces.
  • Code quality, monitoring, telemetry, and analytics tools.
Role Details
  • 12 month contract
  • Glasgow or Edinburgh based
  • £410-£464 per day
  • Hybrid Working (2-3 days a week in the office
  • Outside IR35
