Job Description

Fire Safety OfficerBase location: Royal Alexandria Hospital & Inverclyde Royal Hospital covering Clyde SectorBand 6 Permanent contract37.5hrs per week - required to work one weekend per month to cover weekend shift training (variable shifts, days off to be taken the following or previous week- required to work three backshifts per month (from 4pm to midnight) to cover backshift/nightshift trainingNHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Safety Officer on a permanent basis to cover our properties in Clyde Sector including but not inclusive to Royal Alexandria Hospital & Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The role of the Fire Safety Officer is varied and includes the delivery of a varied fire training programme, completion of fire risk assessments and associated reviews and action plans, and providing technical support and advice to a number of staff groups in relation to fire related themes. You may be asked to perform other related duties commensurate with the post and post banding. You must be able to demonstrate that you are ‘competent’ to complete a Fire Risk Assessment as per the definition within SHTM86 and Section 11 of the Job Description by demonstrating they meet mandatory knowledge (accredited or otherwise) and training (accredited or otherwise).
