Job Description

We are currently working with a specialist in providing fire and security supply and maintenance services to the domestic and commercial sectors in the Glasgow area, who are seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to join their team.They are a well established business, dating back to 2013 with a growing team of engineers and taking on new contracts regularly, now needing to expand and offer an opportunity to someone looking for a new role.The Fire Alarm Engineer will be responsible for;

  • Servicing and small works installations of conventional and addressable fire alarm panels.
  • Servicing of extinguishers, intruder alarms, access control and CCTV equipment.
  • Travelling to clients sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh and occasional work in Dundee, but the bulk of the sites are based in the Glasgow area.
  • Taking part in the companys call-out rota on a 1 week in 3 basis.
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have;
  • FIA Units 1 & 5, however this is not essential and can be provided.
  • At least 2 years experience in the servicing and small works installation of fire alarms.
  • Some exposure to security equipment, including intruder alarms, access control and CCTV products.
  • A full UK Driving License, due to location of works.
This role is offering an excellent remuneration package, including;
  • A basic salary of up to £32,000 per annum.
  • Paid travel after 30 minutes to and from site.
  • Call-out fee of £100 standby plus door to door at enhanced rates.
  • 20 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
  • A company van, fuel card, uniform, phone and all PPE provided.
  • A company pension and perks scheme.
  • Ongoing training, qualifications and progression with scope for promotion.
