Our client is looking to recruit an interim Financial Controller due to a period of growthClient DetailsOur client is a market leader in their fieldDescriptionThe role will entail but will not be exclusive to:- Preparation of monthly management accounts, annual statutory and consolidated accounts- Oversee payroll, manage banking, insurances, utility contracts, asset management, capex projects- Preparation of business forecasts, annual strategic plans and budgets, understanding and supporting the business on profitable business growth and highlighting opportunities and risks- Strong inventory management is essential including overseas locations. This will include planning and managing two full physical verifications each year- Leading the preparation of tax calculations and filing VAT returns- Review, development and strengthening of internal controls- Control of business systems, providing insight and challenge to fellow senior managers.- Business Partner support and advice to senior managers and managers on a range of accounting and budgeting issues- Support budget holders and cost centre Managers in the achievement of their targets, including control of overheads- Preparation of monthly reports and analysis of balance sheets, budgeting and forecasting, and other ad hoc analytical duties as required- Preparation of future year financial planning reports for both internal management control and external requirements- Responsibility for the ongoing development and maintenance of the ERP systemProfileThe successful candidate requires as a minimum:- Qualified accountant- Experience in a manufacturing environment - where job costing, and management of manufacturing Labour and Overhead rates and variances is common- Costing experience with variance reporting is required- Good working knowledge of ERP systemsDue to the urgent nature only candidates available at no more than one weeks notice will be consideredThis role will be office based so candidates must be able to travel to site dailyJob OfferA long term contract in a fast growing business
