Meraki Talent are delighted to be supporting our city centre-based client with the appointment of a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.The CompanyThis commercially astute business have a global presence and are looking to add to their expanding finance team. Due to the scope of the business, it provides the ample environment for career progression & development.The RoleThis position is well suited for a Finalist or qualified accountant and will offer a salary of up to £42,000. Some of the responsibilities will include:* Work closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller to ensure all department targets are achieved* Co-ordinate staff development and deliver staff appraisals, PDPs and regular 1 to 1s for direct report* Preparation of Financial Statements* Ensure the timely completion of the monthly close processes with complete and accurate recording of all transactions* Continually reviewing processes for ongoing improvement in the workflows related to the close process, looking to improve the efficiency of reporting processes* Assisting with the year end audit* Ownership Group annual submissions with oversight of quarterly/annual tax returnsExperience Required* Be comfortable communicating with colleagues at all levels globally, including external regulators.* IT literate (Advanced MS Excel would be preferred)* Ability to Multi task, be a self-starter and a good problem solver* Familiar with double entry accounting* Qualified accountant
