Job Description

Cedar is currently partnered with an historic and prestigious energy business, with an excellent reputation in the market, to help them secure an Interim Financial Accountant for their Glasgow Office. The role is a 9-month initial contract, paying a dayrate between £250-300 per day.The CompanyThis Glasgow-based business has a long standing history and reputation in the market. They are a household name with a culture of success and delivering excellence service for their customers.The RoleAs Interim Financial Accountant, you will cover:

  • Prepare statutory accounts for a small number of legal entities and prepare allocated notes in the preparation of the Consolidated Statutory Accounts.
  • Liaising with the key stakeholders to understand and track accounting issues.
  • Preparing accounting papers.
  • Contribute and assist in the IFRS technical support provided to the business units.
  • Liaising with wider team and group functions on relevant issues to ensure that these teams are kept up to date with new transactions.
Your ProfileYou will ideally have:
  • A formal accounting qualification (e.g CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc)
  • Experience of preparing statutory accounts
  • An ability to interpret detailed technical accounting requirements
  • An ability to constructively challenge at all levels to ensure strong understanding of external reporting and internal controls
  • The rate of £250-300 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
