Finance Manager- Rates and MOD LiaisonWould you like to be a part of a strategically important area of the Naval Ships business managing the portfolio of business rates We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager at our site in Scotstoun, GlasgowAs a Finance Manager, you will be working within the business affordability, rates and investment team providing a key business partnering service that enables our programmes to recover our business running costs and provides key management information to enable business decision making.This role will provide you with the opportunity to regularly interact with several senior financial stakeholders and representatives from the customer community.Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager will involve: Ensuring accurate calculation (Under SSRO guidelines) and communication of costing and pricing rates for the Naval Ships businessProvision of key management information to support and articulate rates positions and ongoing rates strategies within the businessEnsuring timely agreement of Pricing Rates/Profit Rates/QMAC with CAAS and communication to the Business, including understanding impacts on the businessResponsibility for compliance with BAE Financial Controls Framework, local governance processes and SSRO requirements which relate to ratesBeing an active representative for Naval Ships on wider BAE MOD and Rates Forums ensuring pan- BAE issues are understood and effectively captured within Naval Ships environmentReporting to the Senior Finance Manager and be responsible for the co-ordination, planning and delivery of rates to the Naval Ships business to support annual, IBP and strategic planning and pricingBeing the primary interface with customer stakeholders including the MOD for articulating and reviewing ratesBeing the key business partner to the programmes within the business in terms of making sure that impact of rates is consideredLeading in the delivery of data provision to support single source contracting regulations and ensure impact of these regulations are understood within the wider businessYour skills and qualifications as a Finance Manager:Essential SkillsCIMA Qualified or EquivalentKnowledge of Single Source Contract Regulations and MOD AccountingStrong Excel and Analytical SkillsExperience of Using MRP Systems (SAP and TM1 desirable)Desirable SkillsExperience in Line ManagementAbility to communicate with and influence a wide range of stakeholdersExperience of working with both internal and external stakeholdersExperience in longer term business planning processesWhat were looking for in you:You will be organised and confident with a balanced judgement.
