Job Description

Michael Page are partnered with a global Transport & Distribution business to recruit a Finance Business Partner.Client DetailsA global Transport & Distribution business with offices in Glasgow City Centre. The Finance Business Partner role would offer a mix of home and office working.Description

  • Take ownership of financial aspects of a portfolio of entities and work with stakeholders to develop appropriate budget plans and rolling forecasts.
  • Provide financial input to annual budgets, capital modifications, strategic projects & other key events
  • Hold regular meetings with non-finance stakeholders to ensure alignment of actual expenditure with budgets. If there are deviations, create plans to realign to Budget
  • Complete monthly and quarterly financial closures such as accruals, prepayments, etc., in a timely manner
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations to support financial balances
  • Ensure financial results are compliant with company accounting policies
  • Develop and promote best practices within the team
ProfileThe successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or will be able to demonstrate significant qualification by experience.
