Job Description

Start Date: ASAPContract Length: Until July initiallyLocation: Glasgow (G12)Pay Rate: £13.77 per hourHours: Monday-Friday (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm)We are seeking a dynamic and organized Events Assistant to join our client’s team. As an Events Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various events hosted by our client’s. This is an exciting opportunityfor an individual with a passion for events, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for all enquires relating to events; in person, via email and telephone seeking to resolve issues where appropriate.
  • Proactively support the clients process; also providing an excellent standard of service in the personal arrangements.
  • Proactively support events preparations by assisting with a range of activities.
  • Maintain events record systems and process events data.
  • Assist with all aspects of general administration relevant to the events including financial, GDPR, FOI, Health and Safety.
  • Provide assistance with the general administrative support contributing to the smooth operation and management.
  • Assist with meetings to ensure effective support for the committee clerk and committee members.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work with key stakeholders over multiple events.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of large-scale database to process data.
  • Knowledge of working in complex organisations.
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR, Freedom of Information legislation and Health and Safety Legislation.
  • High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills
