EPOS Engineer - Scotland

Job Description

Concept are currently recruiting for experienced IT/EPOS engineers to assist with EPOS and SDD Rebuilds for a large retailer covering the Glasgow & surrounding areas of Scotland.The successful Engineers will work on an 3 month rolling contract until October 2023.Details of the role:

  • Swap out & rebuilds of EPOS and SDDs
  • Installation of software onto pre-staged devices
  • Resolve any issues if and when they occur
  • Complete sign off and sign out
  • Work as a team under instruction of lead engineer
Hours of Work
  • Shifts vary- 5 days per week - combination of in and out of hours working. Sunday 3pm - 1am, Monday 12pm - 10pm, Tuesday 9am - 7pm, Wednesday 8am - 6pm, Thursday 7am - 5pm
  • Sites Per Day - 1 site per day
  • Consistency of work - Expectation of 4-5 days per week per engineer, pending schedule
  • 10 hours per day
  • Start/ End times will vary as per the above
  • Travel will be a requirement of this role
  • Hotels will be arranged in advance by the client
Required skillset:
  • Experienced field engineers with experience of script-based ATM/Epos/IT project work, engineers must have basic fault finding skills
  • Must have a full UK Driving license and own reliable vehicle with business insurance
  • Must have standard engineering toolkit, PPE hard hat / boots etc
  • ECS / equivalent Health and Safety accreditation would be advantageous
  • Be comfortable in competing script-based activity
Rate details
  • £195.50 per day shift based on a 10-hour day including travel, via an umbrella company
  • Overtime more than 10 hours is paid at £19.50 per hour via an umbrella company
  • Mileage claimable after 100 miles per day, 25ppm thereafter
  • Travel expenses such as parking, bridges, and tolls etc claimable back weekly on expenses
  • Payable via an umbrella company
